Difference Between Frontline Top Spot and Frontline Plus
Frontline fea medications are available for both dogs and cats, and both versions contain the ingredient Fipronil to protect against adult
fleas and ticks. Fipronil works only on adult fleas and does not prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing further. Frontline Plus has an additional ingredient, S-methoprene, which has been proven to control fleas in the development stage too, something not all flea control products can do. Since Frontline Plus has an extra ingredient it can be a little more expensive but we find the extra protection Dogs and Cats get from the Frontline Plus is worth the extra cost.
